So you want long hair?

I've been meaning to write a blog post about this stuff for what seems like forever but as I've recently started using it again, I felt like now was the right time to bring it into Blunderland and consequently; into your lives. If you haven't been reading this blog for very long then you might not have been around when I had incredibly long hair and so might be wondering how I can vouch for this product when I'm still basically rocking a bob, (lob if you're being kind) but.. a simple scroll back through the archives will soon show you how long it once was.
For years and years I had hair that literally would not grow past my collar bones and I felt like I'd done everything under the sun to help it grow and it just wasn't happening. I'd get it trimmed regularly for it to just grow back to the same length again and then stop. SO ANNOYING. Finally I discovered a product that I have since raved about to every single person that would listen and I didn't just see it work on me either.. I had a friend who went from bob to luscious long locks at the same time as me too.
I know that a lot of people are in the same boat and so I wanted to share this product with you in case you're lusting after long hair with no way of making it happen.
So the product in question is made by Lee Stafford and it's called 'Treatment for hair that never grows past a certain length'.. How apt! You can usually pick it up in boots for £12 a pot but sometimes they'll do a 3 for 2 so its definitely worth picking up then! The idea is that you massage 'an egg sized amount' into your roots and through the lengths of your hair between shampooing and conditioning and leave it on for 3-5 minutes. Once your hair has started to get into the hang of this growing thing, you can limit your use of the product to every other wash, or even once a week like I used to. I kept using it throughout the growth of my hair because I felt like it really improved the general condition of my hair too and made it feel much thicker. Oh, and did I mention that it smells divine? I know that there's also an accompanying shampoo & conditioner in the range but I've not personally used it so I can't vouch for if that would make more of a difference or not but it might be worth a try?
Obviously you don't wakeup overnight with mermaid hair but it really does make a noticable difference to your hair's growth and from my experience.. once it gets over that akward legnth that it usually gets stuck at... there's no stopping it!
For your viewing pleasure I've found two old photo's of me that were taken about a year.. maybe a year and a half apart to show you the length situation. My hair in the 'after' photo had actually been this length for months and I regularly trimmed it myself too but I just couldn't find any earlier photo's where you could actually see the full length.
If you want to see any more photo's of my longer hair then just head back on my archives to anything before May 2014 and you might get a better insight into what resulted from this wonder product.

Are you tempted to try it? Or have you ever used anything similar? I've started using it again as I want my hair to grow just that little bit extra so that it's less of a bob and I'm sure it'll get there in no time!

  3. I LOVE THIS STUFF. I used the shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner every time I washed my hair and the mask you've mentioned once a week to once a fortnight and within a month my hair (which never used to get passed my collar bones) had grown a good few inches! This stuff is legit magic!!

  4. Does this also strengthen your hair? Mine does grow past a certain length but it just grows into this messy rats nest & I'm still looking for a product to overcome that :P

  7. This sounds amazing! I'll recommend it to my friend too as she's cut her hair shorter and doesn't like it (it looks fab), so this might help speed up the growth.

  8. Wow, that product sounds fantastic! I have found that softer water has helped my hair grow seriously quickly. My hair has literally grown 2 inches in about three months because I have moved from somewhere with hard water to soft water. I might have to pick this up when I move back to the horrifying hard water - my hair needs all the help it can get!
