Homemade Raspberry Lemonade

If you follow me on instagram then you'll know that this post was meant to be up about ten million years ago.. and if you were waiting for it (doubtful) then I'm extremely sorry.. but assuming that you weren't, and that you've just stumbled across this here recipe? Well, aren't you the lucky one.

What you'll need:
300g of Caster Sugar, ( or sweetener alternative? although I haven't actually tried this yet so don't quote me)
1 Large Juicy Orange - Sliced
A Shed Load of Raspberrys. (I used 3 150g boxes)
1-2 Lemons, or if incapable of deciding, go for 1 & 1/2 -Sliced
Mint (optional - for serving)

Method:
You're gonna love how easy this is.
1.Put all ingredients apart from the mint into a big saucepan and add 350ml of cold water.
2.Bring to the boil & stir occasionally to stop it all getting stuck to the bottom or to each other or something like that.
3.After about 15 minutes or so and when it's all thickened into a lovely smelling gloop, take it off the heat and leave to cool.
4.Once cool, pour the syrup through a sieve into a bottle, making sure to squish until your squish is no longer content to extract all of the yummy juices and get them into the bottle!
5.YOU'RE DONE MATE. Yup. That Easy. Your pink lemonade syrup can now be stored in the fridge for up to one week!

(To serve, pour some into a glass and top up with still or sparkling water, and for extra 'mmmm' make sure you whack in some ice and a couple of leaves of that mint!)
